ABOUT MINT BEAUTY BAR
Mint Beauty Bar is a luxury hair extension salon located in the heart of downtown Toronto. We specialize in many hair extension method and hair textures with nine years in the hair industry and one year of opening our beautiful salon. We also have a booth location in Barrie, ON.
Our number one goal is to ensure our queens always leave satisfied.
With many creative hair techniques and the newest trends, Mint Beauty Bar has managed to ensure that we are continuously improving our skills and services.
Aisha Nantume Williams is the founder of Mint Beauty Bar — a luxurious Toronto-based salon specializing in hair extensions of all types.
Aisha was born in Uganda but grew up in downtown Toronto. Her passion for all things hair started at 15 years old when she started doing hair out of her mother’s home. After keeping busy from her mother’s living room, Aisha enrolled in a hairstylist program. After graduating from her program, she started working as an apprentice in Barrie, Ontario. Here, she gained valuable knowledge and the skills she needed to open her own salon in 2019 — Mint Beauty Bar.
Aisha has always been a quiet and reserved person — perhaps not the first words that come to mind when one thinks of the typical business owner. However, she was able to learn the ropes of owning a business from her mother. Aisha credits her successful and intelligent mother for instilling a sense of entrepreneurship in her.
Shortly after opening her salon, the COVID-19 pandemic swept the globe. Many people, hairstylists included, found themselves out of work and patiently waiting for a sense of normalcy to return. Aisha used this time to explore a new venture.
She opened her first retail store at Scarborough Town Centre. Stepping into the retail world has helped Aisha reach a new demographic and has also allowed her to help local businesses that suffered throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mint Beauty Bar retail store has a carefully curated range of hair extensions, beauty supplies and hair accessories from some of the best local businesses in the industry. The retail store has been a great success. So great that another Mint Beauty Bar retail store is set to open at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in November 2021.
